Spouse Gains Benefits
If your spouse gains benefits through his or her employer, you can make certain benefit changes.
Your spouse must enroll in his or her employer's medical plan if the employer pays 50% or more of the cost. If you choose to cover your spouse and/or child(ren) under your spouse’s benefits, you may want to remove them from your Northrop Grumman benefits.
You have 31 days after your spouse gains benefits to make certain benefits changes. Any benefit changes you make are effective the date of the event. If you do not meet this deadline, you must wait until annual enrollment to make changes.
