Spouse Loses Benefits
If your spouse loses employer-provided benefits in which you, your child(ren), and/or your spouse are enrolled, you may make certain changes to your benefits. If you, your spouse and/or your eligible dependent children lose coverage as a result of the event, you may start coverage for yourself and your dependents.
You have 31 days after the event to make certain benefit changes. Any benefit changes you make are effective the date of the event. If you do not meet this deadline, you must wait until annual enrollment to make changes.
